Some of you may already know this or are aware of it, but I was really shocked at the amount of old maps available from good old Uncle Sam himself. For all you lucky enough to live in the historical places and are into civil war relic hunting this could be a great place to look.
Go to this website
http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/gmdhtml/gmdhome.html
Once there click on Military Battles and Campaigns. From here you can navagate a number of differant ways. What I did was select TITLE INDEX and on the next page I selected the very first map of the index. (No. 2) Map of the Battlefield of Antietam. After that you get all the maps in alphabetical order and there are a ton of them! Hope this helps. Happy Hunting and Good luck!!
