These were the coins I posted that I found in Richmond County,Virginia a few days ago the liberty coin with two holes in it I thought was just a piece of good luck charm or jewelry someone wore. A buddy of mine who runs a civil war shop told me that he read in a Civil War magazine that field workers/slaves use to put two holes in the coin then wear it on their wrist for arthritis cures or prevention, don't know how well it worked but it makes sense.. :occasion14:

Also if anyone is got any idea what that button is please let me know it looks like a 19th century police officers button but have the slightest clue.
