Lewis and Tomes Extra Rich 19mm flat button

I found this flat button in the woods today, about 6" deep with a 60s signal on my AT Pro. Do any of you (button folks?) know any more specifics about this? Manufacturer is early 1800s, but that's all I know at this point (curious if there's supposed to be any markings on the front).

Until a members pipes in - I found this...

Lewis & Tomes, Birmingham, England & NYC. Edward Lewis and Francis Tomes were merchants and importers of jewelry and buttons. The buttons were made in England where Lewis was a merchant, 1816-1833. The New York firm dated 1819-1826 as Lewis & tomes but continued as Tomes and other names until their bankruptcy in1878. No buttons are believed to be manufactured for the firm after 1830.
