Please list where you think would be a good place find coins. Maybe some of us will learn a few new places tol huntthem.

Example
1. Admission gates
Pay when coming in getting keys when leaving
2. Sports areas concession stands.
3. Parking lot places where they plow snow up

I just started some hope some of you others add MORE :)

Your #3 is a good one for me. Underneath the bleachers at ballparks turns up a few things. Another one if you can get access, is underneath where the lifts run up the mountain in a ski area, when the snow has melted of course. I never got in yet, but I know some employees of the resorts who have made some pretty cool eyeball finds after the snow melts.

Where old pay phones booths where once stood along roads.
Lots and parks that fairs were held.

Any places that people may have dropped coins where the ground is dirt or grass.

Your list of places would most likely be paved. Places where a dropped coins could easily been seen and picked up.

True.
I actually eyeball more coins than I dig (they are still finds) & of-course they are modern , but they buy Silver !

Low or Drained lakes & the areas around them , Phone booth's was a good idea.

i have to be careful. too much fun will kill me these days. i thought of a good place but if i say what i'm thinking it'll get me kicked out because it involves politics.

i usually find a penny right below the cash register and sometimes a nickle
parking lots, gas stations,The dryer :laughing7:

UNDER the Coinstar Machine. Technique: Take a yardstick or "Swiffer" and sweep under the Coinstar machine and catch box. If confronted simply say you dropped your coins and "stuff" (in case there's a ring or two under there), and you're trying to retrieve them to cash them in. I've had employees actually open the front door for me!!:tongue3:

Under the drive through pay window at not so fast food joints.

out in the sticks where you see condoms. :censored:

anywhere people get drunk

Wherever you have your local carnival or fair grounds. School grounds, soccer fields, and old amusement parks.

I never fail to find SOMETHING under and around park benches. I usually just use my pinpointer under the benches.

Bottom third of sledding hills.

Old streetcar stops.

My wife’s purse always produces coins for me.

Old time revival meeting places

Where roadside vegetable stands once stood

High school grounds, as kids can’t be bothered to carry around those pesky pennies and nickels
