Let's go fishing!...I got the Bait and 35 Cents

Hunting around an old yard yesterday. Found this old wooden Bass Lure and 2 silver coins 1949 Washington & 1955 Rosie. These are the ugliest I have dug. The Washington I think was in a fire and roosevelt has achne. I can't get them to clean up, I tried everything. I guess Silver is Silver
Anyway, thanks for looking.

2 silver coins is a good hunt, in my book. Congratulations!

They should clean up with electrolysis.

Hey Tico,

I have dug many a silver coin here in Texas with pitting. I think it has to do with the acidic soil...could be from the effects of high alkaline also. Anyway once they are pitted, there is nothing you can do. Like you said though, silver is silver.

The fishing lure is a top water bait for bass called a jitterbug.....:)

Re: Let's go fishing!...I got the Bait and 35 Cents

fishing bait does not look anything like a jitterbug, this bait would be a deep running bait from the shape of the bill on it

Thanks for the heads up on looking at the Bill for name. It's a Burke Big Dig.
