Just bought this coin off eBay and wanted to share it with you guys, then i want others to share their newest addition to their collections, like a show and tell of sorts but only those willing to share of course. Its a 1971-D Eisenhower dollar FEV RDV-006 not attributed on the holder, I saw it listed and recognized the variety immediately almost killed me waiting for the auction to end. The Reverse Friendly Eagle Variety is called so because upon close inspection the most notable feature of the variety is the absence of a strong furrowed brow along the top of the eagles eye, although not the only determining factor. Mintage estimates are varied but the Ike group and other major resources put it right around 500,000 coins although they went unnoticed until recently making them quite rare. The FEV variety Eisenhower dollar was just included in the red book which i believe will bring more exposure and higher values in the future. The coin will be off to PCGS soon to be re-slabbed with the proper attribution good luck and looking forward to seeing other awesome coins, this type of thread has been done before at other coin forums.
PCGS population of 5 with only 71 coins grading higher just to give you an idea of relative rarity.......
