some days you should just stay in bed . ???

Umm, err, uhh, did you have fun finding that beauty? Okay, you dropped it. Big deal! You weren't going to get rich off of it. You got that tight in the chest feeling when you realized what it was, didn't you?
I agree with glue it and display it.

OH!!! MAN!!! Being a car nut like I am. That just hurts me to look at it!!
Of course you realize that you will now be required to appear for a public flogging.
Date and time still to be determined.
That just flat brings a tear to my eye!! Please!! If you do this again, I don't want to know about it. HH

I would stop everything, go down to Lowe's and get me some rubber mats for my floor! I recently bought a small solid silver trophy cup at a garage sale that had some thick, sticky stuff all over it. I got the bright idea to get my propane torch to burn it off. It was working fine until one of the two side handles fell off to the floor. The heat had liquified the solder holding the arm to the cup. Some how it don't look right with one handle. Oh well, time to sell!

That is a shame,,, she was a real beauty...
Better luck next time, & Happy hunting~

Pilgrim, a little j.b.weld goes a long way on an item like that, just take your time and dry check
your fit up before you apply the j.b.weld.

HH ? Mark

Yes I think the J.B.weld will work good enough to hold it together so I can put it in my little collection, I didn't plan on getting rid of it anyway. :) No one will ever know but me. ;D

Sorry you dropped it but I'm sure you will treasure it as a great find anyway. Just about anything can be fixed with JB Weld or duct tape :)

Darn the bad luck! I was showing a friend a German 4 Pfenning coin that was immaculate with a nice green patina on it, he dropped it on a cement floor. It landed on edge and broke the rim of the coin off and to further damage it, the rim across from the first break also broke off, crud! That's worse than hitting the target with a shovel. HH, Mike
