The weather was cold today so instead of fishing I got the AP PRO out for a hunt. I had read some settings for better results and also changing the coil cable layout so i did this before the hunt. Off I go, turn her on, as soon as I move, bee, beep, beep. Then I lose the signal, Go again, same thing, mmmmm, I'm concerned.
Turn down the sens, no better, change frequency, no better. Go back to my old settings, no better, change the coil wire layout, no better, Factory reset, no better.
Ok, I've somehow broken my baby and start to mumble under my breath as I head off the car, head down, a waste of time and my new baby is sick.
As I'm wandering back, kicking the ground I have a revelation like a bolt from the blue!
Never, I mean never wear STEEL CAP BOOTS when detecting near your feet!!!!!
I detect beaches mainly, never wear any shoes but because it was cold today, I changed. What a doofus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It did get me thinking though about any shoes that have rivets around the lace holes or metal lace ends, must get plenty of false signals from them.
Anyway, kicked off the shoes, put up with cold feet and got a few coins, happy days!
