seems like lead but I haven't seen one like this before

I mean it looks like lead but I don't know if it is. Depending on soil,etc lead can end up looking different in different locations. But i mean looking @ it up close and personal you should know if it is lead or not.

,i'm a female,idc what i'm finding but i'm finding stuff on some virgin land in va, so even if it's a weird looking rock i'm keeping it,having fun @ finding possible lead in the woods in va

Come dig in Stafford.. You will find lead LOT and LOT of civil war melted lead... if you like lead that is.

If you found it around an old house, it's may be a pour-off of plumbers lead that was used for sealing around iron sewer pipes. Prior to, and on into the 1960's, plumbers would connect cast-iron pipes by caulking around the joints with oakum, and then pouring molten lead into the joint to seal it. If there was excess lead in the pot, they would often just pour it out making blobs just like the one you have.

it is Lead

If you still need confirmation take a sharp knife to any edge & cut a sliver off.
it should be easy and You should see shiny silver color.

If your not afraid of breaking a nail you should be able to dig a sliver out
with your thump nail also.

just an interesting hot lead spill into gravel.
