Don't know the age, but I played with some like this in the 70's. Looks like he should be on a horse ;D Cool Relic non the less.
 

It looks like he was riding a horse Bill ! Did you recheck the hole to make sure his horse was not underneath him ? :tongue3: Seriously ! Thanks Wldbil I remember toys like these from the 70's but I'm thinking cast not lead. I could be wrong a long time ago..
 

The helmet looks to be from the Boer war...the one with Michael Cane fighting the Zulu's :laughing7:
