umm well i see the black underneath.... i cant give a accurate date but i may have an idea, late 1800's early 1900's :dontknow:

First hollow lead toy soldiers were produced in 1893 so it would be after that date.

It's actually solid lead. Looks like something sat in the saddle at one point. The quality is rather good, no cast lines can be seen. Some bits of red paint showing? Has a small star on each side of the saddle. My buddy Mike found this yesterday, kind of interested in IDing it myself.
