Lead token? & colored glass button?

Found these two today at a mid 1800's site.
The lead token piece is easy to read on the front,
the back has words top to bottom and is hard to
see. Any idea on cleaning a lead token?
Thank you for any thoughts on these two. HH DFW

Your lead button looks to me to be a lead seal.

Yeap a Lead Bag/Bale Seal, although they had a few other uses, if you can ID the company.

Thanks CRUSADER. Googled The Salt Union and it is or was a company
in the UK.
