Lead shield

Hello all, Any ideas on this it's a lead shield shaped item with what looks like the letter H on it. Or it could be an animals head !. The object is pierced so it could have been worn rather than being a weight, the object to me looks very medieval. The object is 25mm long.

Possibly a Roman numeral II? I'd guess a weight.
