Found this about 6-8in down in the same fields where a 1834 homesite was. Several CW bullets found in the area. It is lead and about the size of a quarter. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Looks like a lead cap to a nut or bolt.

Perhaps an antique lead roofing nail cap.

I thought it might be a weight. There was a general store somewhere near the field. It is heavy and has that shape stamped into it.

Actually the roof nail caps are a lot smaller. But, I agree it is some sort of cap for a nut. It is a little bigger than a quarter. But it has the nut shaped imprint.

Wanting to guess a carved muzzle cap for a musket.
