Lead pencil..?

Hello tnet, found this weird pencil looking thing on a field heren in the Netherlands.
I also found a lot of pottery and a coin from 1711.

Anybody knows it use and time period ??

Could be very old or could be more recent? Possibly a piece of old lead pipe caulking or maybe it was used as a marker to write with?. Lead was used in so many ways throughout history and the possibilities of how it was used are pretty wide. I found a lead button at an old mining camp once that was the shape and size with the thread holes in it like any button made of shell or today's buttons made of plastic. That one was easy to figure out how an old object made of lead was used.
