Interesting item found in the vicinity of a 1700's house in Lancaster Co. Pa. I've seen example of lead hat pins fro 2008_10152011july0011.JPG2008_10152011july0012.JPGn the area. Could this be one?

looks Dove like to me, maybe an early toy.

Thanks Crusader -it very well may be a dove, although i initially thought parrot because of the curved beak. It's possible that it has been bent. Small for a toy -and flat. two vertical markings on the back may indicate a pin of some sort...

(yes the beak has been bent out of shape)

Early Lead Toys are flat, although normally detailed on both sides, & its not too small either. However, without the base that it may have sat on, its only a possibility.
