Lead or Cast Iron toy?

Found this item years ago. It was on a stand but isn't anymore. I'm not sure if it's Lead? Looks like a civil war figure? or WW1 officer on a horse? 2" wide x 2 1/2" tall

I would think lead or a lead alloy. Circa 1900 to WWI British Cavalry.
