Ok, don't know how else to put it other than that, lead item. It is like a flattened bullet size, but it has some letters on it, first might be an '8' or a 'B'...never dug anything like this before. It was at s sure of an old school house. 'MelTektin' found his first Indian today, and then made it two! I also got a Victorian age ring. I'll post two pictures of it to see what age everyone else thinks...
Was glad to see the stone, or glass, was still in there at least...
Not horrible for the first hunt of the year...

Ok, I heard of bale seals... But, like for what? Wine bottle? That's the only thing I can associate a bale with... Thanks for the confirmation

Lead seals have been used on many different items; commercial transport security, railroad cars, even electrical utility boxes.

Can't help any further.

Commemorative Tokens of the United States of America.

Look up Communion Token for your area. I stumbled across them trying to I'd Lou' s (Westmoreland) lead coin. Still probably a bale seal but those lead communion tokens were common by you and look similar.
