Lead & Iron Mystery Piece

Hey Y'all,
This afternoon I returned to the area where I found the 1857 Railroad boxcar seal, and found this strange lead & iron piece. The scalloped face of it is lead, and has a white patina even though the photos show it more brown. The back of it is almond shaped and is made of iron. Part of the back is broken off. The only thing I could think of that resembles this was an umbrella piece. Breezie
