LEAD HANDGUN ( childs toy or game piece???)

Hoping someone can help me out with this little lead gun :icon_scratch: all seems to be solid cast except for the handle, maybe just a casting flaw. Also if any one knows approx. age that would be appreciated, I know I cant be the only one out there who has dug these. As far as age I would guess teens or twenties :dontknow: so if anyone has a better idea as far as age :thumbsup:

Are you sure it is lead? My first thought was a vintage Cracker Jack toy, but not sure. It's a strange grip on the gun, and I'm thinking it could have been a wooden one that destroyed years ago. Cute find, Breezie

I believe it is one of the early water pistols.It had a bulb on the handle that was squeezed and shot water from the barrel.Might be pewter.

I think your date range is correct (early/mid 1900's). Cool squirt gun :icon_thumright:
