lead filled button

i found a button or at least i thinks its a button, anyhow its ferros on the outside and lead filled with some sort of numbers or letters on it

It is hard to say without a picture but a lot of the "filled buttons" where actually bridal rosettes. I have found them from the size of a coat button up to the size of a breast plate.
