A friend found this piece on an old homestead site in Eastern Ontario.
It's made of lead. We were hoping somebody might tell us what it's original use was and help date it for us.

It measures approx.. 1.5" x 1.5".

Pretty sure its a circa 1850s British Horse Harness Mount.
