Lead "cork/bottle-cap"?

Dug this outa lake michigan, on a beach where some shipwreck stuff has been known to wash up after heavy surf. Pretty sure it's lead, it's about the diameter of a 12ga shotsell base, it says A R. WINARICK N.Y., it was pretty darn deep and out quite a ways.
Found one search reference about an AR Winarick that bottled some hair jeric stuff back in 1906 for barbers, migrated here from russia? Just trying to get a date range for this item, (don't get alot of old stuff on the beaches here, be neat if it was from early 1900's/etc).

I've seen something similar hammered onto power poles.

Re: Lead "cork/bottle-cap"?

Here you go...

"Arnold Winarick came to America in 1906 from Russia. By the 1920s, he listed his occupation as 'bottle manufacturer'; and in the 1930s, he started bottling cosmetics. This is a vintage hair tonic bottle, in excellent shape, with no cracks or chips. The metal cap is intact and is inscribed, as well. The inscription on the bottle says 'Ar. Winarick New York'."
