Lead button?

Went out again in hopes of finding another good Confed button,but was shot down,well maybe not. I found this item on the same property as the cast i button from yesterday. I think it might have been an attemp to make a button. It has the concave look of a button. It is about the size of a nickel, which would probable made it a coat button. The front is lead with iron on the back. I do not see a place where the shank would was,but maybe they didn't get that far or forgot,who knows? I would like to get some of your opinions on it,thanks Jonathon.

CRUSADER, it weighs 3/8 of an ounce. I have found a ton of C.W. bullets around where found this item.
