I found these in a ghost town from the 1800's.
One looks like a bullet, very heavy so i'm assuming it's lead. the other looks nothing like a bullet, but has the same weight to it. I"d love to know more about these. The shell casings were found in other areas of the settlement, and some are stamped 1940's.

The two lead objects look like shot gun slugs, which are bullets fired and deformed from hitting either the target or the ground. The rest of the empty brass can be identified by reading the head-stamps on the base.

Thanks for the info. Any idea if the slugs are old or modern day? they were about 4 inches deep.
Cheers

Could be upwards of 70 years, I remember them when I was a kid. Could be yesterday, they still make them. To the left of the bullets it looks like a decaying all brass remains of a shotgun shell. The brass rots from the effects of the black powder, or from the corrosive primers used with smokeless powder, so that one could be plus or minus 100 years. Check for a head stamp, that gives more clues than just a photo.
