Thought I would post some of the lead bullets that I have found on the same site that I found the arrow pts. and gun parts.
It is sad that there is not much activity on this forum. IMO, artifacts from the fur trade era or any Historic Indian relics for that matter, are much more rare than Woodland stone artifacts. I can walk about any 2 mile stretch of river or creek here in Ks. and come across several Woodland sites. But finding a Historic site is much more difficult.

Great finds! Are those bullets all from trade/hunting or were there battles there too? Seems like a lot.
Also, did you actually find the bullets still inside the molds?
I agree about the rarity of trade sites. I think they're almost SO rare in most areas that people don't bother taking an interest in them (or don't even know about them), thus the greater popularity of prehistoric finds. Which makes sense... prehistoric Indians were around 10,000+ years and the trade period lasted, at most, a few hundred years. In my area, it only lasted a few generations!

Mark, I believe the site to be a small village but I sometimes wonder if it was not a trading post due to the large amount of artifacts.
I just stuck the lead bullets in the mold to show they are the same caliber.
I agree 100% on the reason you gave for peoples lack of interest in Historic sites.
