Lead bead from 1600s site

I found this lead object from a 1600s site that I found a month ago. It's the size of a pistol ball and has a hole all the way through. It came off a salt beach below the cabin site, so it's a little banged up. Thanks in advance for your help

It's round and about 1/4" diameter. It would be the smallest net weight I've ever found, but maybe so
