LC’s, IHP’s, Relics & CW Token?

Hit a couple sites this weekend. First site is an old dot in the woods near my house. I’ve not been able to pull any silver coins there, just lots of wheats and a couple more IHP’s.


Here is a handful of lead and brass from this first site.


Made it out this morning with Louis back at an old homesite in the park woods in Pittsburgh. We hit it a couple weeks ago for the first time and found 3 LC’s, 1840 Token and a Fatty IHP. This time we found a couple more LC’s (always in nice condition at this site which is very unusual for our area), another Fatty and another Token.




Here is my handful of relics from this morning. The tombac button is probably the oldest thing we have found here.



Here is the token.





The What’s It forum said it may be a CW Store Card or Hard Times Token. Maybe something like this.

If anyone has an ID on this it would be awesome.

Yeah, part of the route is still in the stream, but water level was down so no big deal. We were hoping to focus on the foundations of the out buildings this time, but the foliage has really taken over some parts of the site. There is a book on CW tokens, I’m hoping there is enough detail that someone can ID it. I’m thinking it has “Pittsburgh” at the bottom, probably a local store or vendor. Thx!

Another Book Store Token. This one with an "H" added to Pittsburg.

That is a great variety of finds. I like the Large Cents, and all the different relics.
