Hunted a field right by my house this evening. Found everything from 1600s up until 1945 over the past few years. Amazing that I missed the LC at 2” in the past but this is one of the few fields I hunt that gets a deep plow. Smallest piece of sterling I have found. No idea what it came off of but it is marked. 1907, 1864 IHPs and 1940 nickel as well

Many may not be aware that they did have two piece buttons in colonial times. Found what I believe is the front piece to a colonial button back that I found there a few days ago. Not sure what they used to hold them together but Ive never found one intact or been able to match the two parts together. One of my favorite colonial button finds

Nice work! 🙌 That one IH looks pretty sharp.

Sweet! I especially love the old coins - I think I'll have to drive out of state to find my first large cent. Great job!

Yeap they had 2 piece like that & bi-metal types.

Hi, nice finds:icon_thumright:

Nice old coin shooting, congratulations! :occasion14:

The backs are fairly common as I've found quite a few of them, but I've only found one front.
