Detector(s) used
Tesoro Lobo Super Traq,
Garrett AT PRO w/ 5x8" coil
Garrett Carrot,
GG Amphibian HP,
40"ground shark
Keene A52 Sluice box
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
So this is what I'm using when on my forays into the forest of detection. It's a simple Load Bearing Vest made for our military. I use this rig because I'm tired of constantly pulling my pants up and I don't want to wear a backpack or hydration bladder due to the heat. When old man winter shows his grey beard I'll be happy to don a bladder on my back.
I have a magazine dump pouch for my relics. A double mag pouch for an extra bottle of water and my cell phone(behind H20 bottle) and my keys will hang from the above loop with a carabeener. A optics pouch for my pro pointer and a 32oz canteen in another pouch. Lastly where I'm currently searching in the 100 acre woods it's really easy to get turned around. So I bring a compass as well. When I get my pick for river hunting here's this handy drop leg holster mount I can slide the pick into. It all looks a bit heavy but it's quite comfortable vs my pants constantly falling down. How do you guys carry all of your stuff?

Apologies for the side wards pictures.

I agree with you , I use the same setup.

It's not even remotely uncomfortable. I really enjoy carrying all my gear this way and being a Molle rig, I can reconfigure the pouches for various applications and no worries if it all gets soaked. Lastly even though our gov paid top dollar for this stuff, we can all find it at our nearby flea market or military surplus store pretty inexpensively. I got mine at my buddy Tim's store in WNC called http://www.oldgrouch.com
If you call and get a machine, then dial 71 & you'll get a real Veteran. They did that to weed out telemarketers...

I use the old school setup (LCE). I prefer minimal material to keep me cooler.

Good thing about surplus is one can always improvise for what works best for the individual. Thanks for sharing!
