This is my first time incorporating bone into a walking stick. I cut a sprue on the top of the stick and fitted the bone onto it. I epoxied the bone in place and sanded the wood down to meet the bone. I inletted and glued a medallion in the top. I then used a woodburner to do the turkey feather design and also burn the turkey tracks into the bone. I left the rest of the stick alone to show off the natural character of the wood.

I donated it to a local chapter of the NWTF for their annual super fund banquet. It was auctioned off and was bought with a $75.00 bid.

Nice stick. Looks like it went for a good price. Are you making more?
Thanks! Yes, I am now making one for a MS walk for life, coming up in a couple of weeks.

I have a few more ideas in my head also, just need to get busy.

Cool, what kind of wood is that?

Pretty work , nice of you to donate it . I'm the treasurer for our chapter of the nwtf . I' rather turkey hunt than eat ! I make a few wingbone calls , I need to learn how to use a wood burner or in my case , a bone burner .
