Well, my beach finds are trash compared to “Blak bart”, but it was still fun.

These are my finds for this past week at the beach. Lots of junk, some money, an unopened pack of cigarettes (even though I do not smoke), toys, etc. Plus, six rings and a small gold chain with a cross and what looks like diamonds (I hope).

It was fun.

Also, I am now digging numbers 1 & 2. Numbers 1 & 2 are usually foil and trash. However, I hit a 1-2 yesterday and decided to dig it, and amazingly, I found a real Treasure Chest! The chest contained a gold star fish, coins, and a five-dollar bill.

The 5 plus bucks is pretty sick. Being in a chest gives a nice story to share with people. I found 2 chest so far. One was small, plastic with toys in it. The other was old. Probably better to describe it as a box than a chest. It was found in the water from an abandoned seaside town that was washed away in early 1900. The only thing it had was a bunch of sand and an old pipe. Saved the pipe.

Cool recovery of the little treasure chest.
What was the newest coin in the chest?
The newest coin date and the date on the $5 bill is, 2013. So maybe it has been buried for ten years. Who knows. Still a fun find. I just cannot decide if I should exchange the bill for a new one or just keep the old bill as a memento.

Not sure I would call your beach finds trash. I think a majority of us would be quite ecstatic with those finds.
Thank you. I am happy . It is fun to just find stuff. I am just confused how the Blak bart can find so much, expensive stuff in such a short period of time???

I'm convinced that a lot of metal detecting success is where you hunt, more than how. You can't find what isn't under the coil.

6 rings and a treasure chest of money 💰 is pretty incredible!! Ill have to post some of my busted trips !! Often times it takes hundreds of targets before that gold pops up !! Im stubbornly patient !! Congrats on a fantastic day !!

Personally I would keep it as is and put it in a plastic protective sleeve.
A new bill isn't a memory in a decade or so, but that's just me thinking.

BART, it is absolutely clear to me that you put a hundred times as much effort into this as most people. I get that. Easy to just scroll thru your posts and think ol Bart just walks out there and finds gold and diamonds everywhere.
Same deal with my arrowhead hunting. I rarely post daily finds anymore. I would go out and find 500 to 1000 points a day. If I posted an amazing day like that, you wouldn't believe the negative reactions. Folks never consider I spent years locating these sites, hundreds of thousands of dollars buying or leasing them, half my life building and perfecting screening systems, enormous amounts of hours and frustration getting it dialed in.
