My latest beach adventure….

I had planned to be at the beach in Florida at my condo, for the last two weeks of March. However, on the second day I was there, they closed all the beaches. It was awful as the weather was fantastic and with nobody on the beach them, it would have been great for searching.

The first night I was there I did find about $5 in coins, and a sterling silver ring. So not a bad start.

However, just as it was getting dark, an older lady came up to me and asked if I would please help her. She showed me an area where she said she dropped three rings, all with diamonds, that were wrapped up in her towel, but she forget about them when she went in. She said they were worth about $20,000. I searched for a little while, then told here I would look for them the next day and she gave me her contact information. I promised her I would return them to her if I could find them. However, by the next morning the beaches were closed and I could not search for them for her. I feel really bad because someone else will eventually find them, but not return them to her.

On the bright side, this was the first time I had used my 800 since MineLab replaced the head for the second time. Overall, I happy with it.

Hopefully you can be the first person to get at that area once the ban is lifted and find her rings.

The problem is I had to come home today and we have NO idea when the beaches will reopen.

The third day I was there, I was notified that I might have been exposed to the virus in a meeting the previous week. So I put myself in a self imposed quarantine for 16 days. I am fine, but I had to get back home. I am self employed, but still need to work. I wish I could be there when the beaches do reopen.

I would have just gone out there at night when nobody was around to see or hassle you.

The police were watching the beaches at night as well, and writing $500 tickets.
It did cross my mind, but they were trying to be proactive and keep "everyone" off the beaches.
I even talked to one of the policeman patrolling the beach and he understood, but could not give me permission.
Plus, it would not be fair for me to go out when everyone else was staying in

I was disappointed I could not help the lady. It seems her husband gave her the rings and he died recently, to make matters worse.
