Heres a late season find,it's a saxon coin of Archbishop Wigmund 837-50 AD. The coin is made of copper and is very small , these coins were called stycas and were Anglo Saxon, they made made in northern England. In those days archbishops could issue coins under license from the king.Shows how rich and powerful the church was in those times.
