a fibula is a clip that holds the clotings .
and this fibula was of a roman soldier.

I am detecting for 8 years now.
and I go only In the weekends.

Iwould say early medieval rather then roman ..

this is an amazing and spectacular fibula anyway .maybe the nicest I've ever seen

I am sure that they are late roman . ;)

I have seen more of these fibula,s in a museum ,and they were date as 4th century ;D
