Looks like a cool sluice. I would look on YouTube, there are a few videos I've seen. Looks like they require a good flow to work correctly. A.F. canyon should work great for you. It runs Swift enough to run my bgt prospector any time of the year, have fun with your new piece of gear.

The best advice I can give you for setup is A) put it back in the box B) send it back to wherever you bought it C) Buy a bazooka. You'll find you retrieve a lot more gold this way.

What cal sluice the Plastic one that loses gold? Or the decent self classifying one?

I have a thing against plastic. Thats why I stayed away from the Bazooka. I dont buy plastic pistols either. Plastic has a tendency to break. Im sure that one is strong but it still weirds me out. I got the metal self classifying calsluice.

As much as I'm pissed about Todd(Bazooka) being a moron and screwing up a great opportunity I have to say that a Bazooka is pretty damn tuff. I am not easy on gear at all and don't worry about breaking a Bazooka. Vacumeform abs is a different animal. The plastic calsluice is flimsy and spits out gold.

Did you get a used #2b or are they producing again? The old website doesn't have sluices listed as available.

If you could get me a link to a new site if they have one I'd appreciate it.

Also agree on the pistol's But my 1911 is pretty nice with it's charcoal magpul grip panels 8-)

I got the 2b new. It took about 4 or 5 days to get. CalSluice

I like the weight of a non plastic pistol. My Beretta M9 is heavy enough to beat someone when I run out of rounds LOL!!!

Thats good to hear the Bazooka is pretty tough. I may have to take a look at them again.

Got it the order page wasn't loading before I thought it was dead

Yea if anyone were to make it past round 8. They will definitely get a cracked skull, and old uncle colt will just keep going.

Is there any reason, besides the self classifying you didn't update your a-52 to gold hog mats?

Eventually I will get the gold hog mats. My wife gave me permission to get that sluice and I was not going to say "no thanks, I have a sluice already"!

You need to get a skull crusher mainspring housing. HH

The Angus Mackirk plastic sluices are made pretty tough, it seems it would take a lot to break it and the force it took might mangle an aluminum sluice. HH

What kind of gold hog mats are you running?

On my a-51 I have UR - razorback - downdraft - razorback - bedrock
On the small sluice I made for the end of my bgt prospector I put razorback - downdraft - bedrock
I also got some scrubber that I'm going to use in the high banker I'm going to build this winter.
