I found this yesterday afternoon as I hit the spot I dubbed mano hill. I started searching the surrounding hills first and found nothing, so I went to the place I found the mano stone, one small broken jasper point and a few jasper flakes. The sun was falling below the mountains and it stated cooling off pretty quick, so I started back to my bike looking in the washed out areas of the hill as I kept searching on my way down and this piece caught my eye. By the width of it I could only guess it was once a beautiful larger point. Looks like the center section of a nice translucent chalcedony artifact. Dang! cattle always stepping on nice artifacts.

What a heartbreaker, and some really nice material.

or is it a native made gun flint?...is it broke on those two sides, or made that way?

Never thought that. It's snapped on both ends is what I see of it.
