Late 1800's Copper...

...from Venezuela?

Dug this coin two weeks ago at the Maverick site Chris and I have been hunting. The property dates to colonial times and when I pulled this from the dirt I thought for sure I had something good. Washed it up with some warm water and this is what I found. I have looked at this under three different loops and I believe I can just make out the word Venezuela on the left side of the obverse. No date on it (that's legible). If anyone can help with the i.d., it would be greatly appreciated...

I'm posting a positive and a negative image of each side to increase the chances of someone else picking out detail that I cannot see. Thanks again.

Italian coin. 1,2,5,or 10 Centissimi (depending on the size of the coin). 1861-67.

Andy-
I'm glad you got that sucker ID'd. I knew it would be an oldie. (older than me) :tongue3:
Kind of ironic you would get a Italian coin. ;D Maybe one of your great ancestors dropped it? :icon_scratch:
Very nice find Dude.

Thanks for the ID Buck.
