Last week's speech leads to returned ring today, I feel soooo good!
Last week I did a speech about metal detecting for my Speech Communications class. Today a girl on campus told me that her friend had lost an important ring in the sand volleyball court behind the building. I told her I would find it. Luckily my car was parked close on campus and I had my Ace 250 in the trunk. I took a little video too but I can't upload it from my phone here on campus. I was in the volleyball court about 2 minutes when I get a signal about 2 inches down showing up between a quarter and a 50 cent piece. It was the only signal I had so I knew it had to be it. Out pops a .925 ring with turquoise in it.
I casually walk back in the building and ask her to contact her friend and describe it. Sure enough it was the ring! She was on campus so she came right over and I returned her ring. She was upset last week and thought she had lost it forever. This just happened about 10 minutes ago and I feel great. This is what the sport is all about!
My first ring was chiseled out of the ground. It actually was silver with a gold plated band around it.
