Sorry about it taking so long to post the finds. I had issues with my camera and getting the pics uploaded to my computer.

My take for the day was:
1 Standing Liberty Quarter no date
2 Washingtons. 1944 & '39-d
2 Mercs: '16 & '20
1 V-Nickel: 1893
8 Buffalo Nickels: '13, '15, '16d, 2x '19, '20, '27, &'36

Handfull of greenies, of which one of them I can see is a 1898 IH in bad shape.

Had a great day meeting new faces and detecting with a great group of people. I look forward to a next outing similar to this one.

P.S. I almost forgot about the cracker jax toys.

Wow! I knew you had a good day, but that was awesome! I like the V-nick from being the same year as the Colombian Exposition that was held there. Too cool!

You almost forgot to mention that one of your Mercs is a 1916! I remember you flipped your headphones off and went runnin' for a loupe :D To bad is was severly worn and we'll never know if it had a mint mark. You were killing it on those Buffs too. Again, Awesome job bro.

awesome finds there , what a day!

I'm very impressed by the number of Buffalos you got! I was through there before you and did NOT hear that many low tones... I think I had barber high tones on my brain. Did you get anything from the water? I see you in one of Bob's pics. Sunday morning I hit the water and nabbed a buffalo, a merc and a wheatie. Saturday I had scooped up a 1904 V nickel at 3" in the water from the shoreline.

Congrats on a 3 quarter day! That's crazy man, awexome finds!

One heck of a day for everyone...

Jez 8 buffalo's WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome job out there Jon

Nice collection there

I also see part of a CJ prize pistol. . . Can't forget those ::)

Dude, you are buffed!
What in Sam Hill is that round thing with the heart-like designs on it? I must have a half dozen of those things around here I've dug up in various places.

Awesome job bud - bigtime congrats!!!!!

I was thinking maybe CJ toy. Looks like a plate doesn't it?

Yeah, maybe missing whatever was glued into the middle, no idea. Never found a cup or bowl that might go with any of 'em.

You are a quarter and nickel killer!!!

You finding that SLQ and Dan finding the Washington inspired me to stay after I decided to leave and that led to a George and an SLQ for me, If you weren't digging all those great buffs, I never would have found my V, either. I gotta get back to "nickel ridge"!!! ;D

Sweet finds!!!   :icon_king:

Great finds and it was nice to meet you last weekend!

This year we had a two day Winter Hunt in Evansville, Indiana and three separate Spring Hunts in different locations over four days with the two day Chicago Hunt being the last. The first two were in Central Indiana. We are planning a Summer Hunt and a Fall Hunt for this year as well. You need to be a CHN member to attend these by the way so if you aren't, get ready!

We are wanting to have the Fall Hunt this year at an old fairground field if we can. Check out the finds Jr and I made at the one we found earlier this year on CHN. If we find one like that for the 2009 Fall Hunt everyone will find multiple seated liberty coins!
