Detector(s) used
Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Very few times does a detectorist wish their silver quater was a dime. This is one of those cases. Only 24 1894s barber dimes were minted. Where the 1894s quarter mintage was 2.6 million. Oh well. Still a nice coin. And the last us silver I dug in 2023.

First silver of 2024 a 1923 merc.

Rest of items are from new years eve and new years day hunt. Sash buckle is plated but held up really well. Two blob top stoppers are marked Germany on their sides. Suspender clasp pat Jan 5 1909. Rest of items are self explanatory. I believe I read spoons were bent that way to maks it easy-to-use for a baby or toddler.

Beautiful buckle! Congrats
I actually almost left and went to a productive spot near by but I said you myself hmm I didn't go all the way to the road. By the road there was a small pile of 20s glass shards. Got a 26 to 28 signal and said that had to be a merc. Buckle wasn't far away. There's a small slightly older surface dump in here too. most of this is from there. Except the barber. The tile was in creek bef. Anywhere else but by the dumps if you dig anything below a memorial penny signal odds are its ammo or a bottle cap.
