:hello:

Not really enough finds to post last week so I have combined this weeks outing, with last weeks. Still having a bit of a lean time :BangHead: My once productive fields have just about given all, still it was good while it lasted and it's time to move on to greener pastures.

Not a lot to show but a couple of hammereds with some nice detail, the half Groat has suffered at the hands of the plough, and I couldn't get enough on the smaller hammered for a ID :icon_scratch:. I have a few things in the pipeline and I'm hoping that my luck will soon change, for the better

Then come up with some better pics of that muddy roman! :tongue3: Many of mine had detail in the field and it was gone after rinsing with water!

Yeap, the heavy clipped one looks like a late Henry. Its just a lean time of year & I'm sure your be back to old soon.

I thought HenryV1 UKFD couldn't ID it though, or never tried hard enough.:sadsmiley: It's not a case of fields, I have plenty but they are all well detected now.

My first thought based on the head & crown was Henry VI, so probably is.

We have choices but they are all bad, if we had good (old good) we would be on it, because you still stand a chance with hours of gridding.

Nice clear portraits on those SS. Hope you find a new productive site soon. Looks like you're making the most of what you've got for now though.

It's a case of having to. If our plans come right for us we are hoping for big things, already my detecting partner has had a fragment of a Stephen penny civil war issue, a very rare coin, but the soil is very sandy and finds are deep....I feal a CTX330 coming my way.

Whatever it takes to get the job done my friend!

What fine looking silvers and clipped really well for sure, but boy are they crisp. Ok what's the Roman jobbie as it's got some great detail also? Hope your new pipeline flows well in the finds dept SS.

Roman is a Constantine 1st, reverse is campgate with star/globe above. I will try and get a better picture.
