I caught an elderly gentleman at the end of his three-day garage sale. He didn't have much of anything left in his garage, but I asked him if he had had coins he was willing to sell. He said he had some foreign coins if I was interested. I told him I was mainly interested in American currency, but I'd be willing to take a look. He brought out this:

I recognized that style of check boxes as one that my grandfather used to keep his old coins in. I wasn't disappointed when I opened it. He told me that the majority of the coins were from when he was in the Korean War, found when his group bombed open a safe:

They are all Ho-Nan Cash coins of varying denominations, most 50, 100, and 200. Any ideas on value would be most appreciated.
Most of what I based my purchase price on were these coins:

There were also a few more newer foreign coins, some wheat cents, some modern clad, a fire department chief's badge, some solo and ensemble medals, and this token:

I paid $50 for the whole lot, which I thought was fair at the time but I'm not feeling so confident after a few hours. What do you guys think?
