Was able to get out for a few hours last night and concentrated on the wooded areas on the edges of a local park. Was able to get me 5 more silvers for the year, 2 quarters, a 1948-S and a 1952-D, and 3 dimes, 1917-D, 1923, and 1944, and of course I managed to put a big gash across the face of the 1917-D dime. Also managed 14 wheaties and 52 cents in modern clad, and of course the usual trash.

I'll bite. What did I miss?

:dontknow:

You're thinking of a 1916-D dime. Everyone would be going crazy over that.

Oh, no. I know it's the 16-d. But, just by this one being soooooo close, I just expected at least a few gasps and whews! LOL

HH!

Very nice finds. Lots of wheats. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks everybody!! Oh how I wish the 1917-D Merc had been minted a year earlier and was a 1916-D instead!! But I'll take what I can get when it's silver!!

Awesome find !!!!!!! congrats!!!!!!!

Nice hunt, very nice finds, I can't wait for the first frost! I can get in all those places that I know are full of chiggers and ticks right now! My legs look like a pin coshing from all the chigger bites I got just on the edge of where I want to go.

That is a great park! We don't have them like that where I live in SC.
