Wow. Get a second opinion... and how about the metal?
 

I had one like that too. Turned out to be a very nice JUNKER! But for the 3 hours it was in my pouch, it was real lol.

Tested it with a diamond tester and it is a sterling silver band
And on top of it I'm going to have to replace my Metal detector I think I got a break in the wire it was acting up i've had it for about 11 years it's time for an upgrade anyways
