Bought an XP ORX last Tuesday and it was delivered last night. Decided I would take it out to the township ballfield. I can't dig deep there, just "scratch" the surface as they say. I had my probe and screwdriver with me, and I need more practice, so I got started. I have to say I am impressed with the ORX. Lots of faint signals I couldn't dig, but they were there.

I hit on a nice loud signal in the 90's. Tried my probe and yahoo I hit the target. seemed to be about 3 inches deep. I really should mark the probe so I can tell depth. Took two try's but I got it out with the screwdriver. Then more faint high tones. I did a few more probe and screwdriver recoveries around the small stands in the ball fields. Ended there with 67 cents. Each of the recoveries were about 2-3 inches deep. The ORX hit them loud, I didn't expect that. Sounded to me like the coins were just below the surface.

I'm really happy with ORX. It's easy to use and very light. Only problem I had was the GO Terrain app didn't work. I couldn't get my phone to recognize and pair with the ORX.

Dropped by my new permission with the bean fields after the ballfields. More about that tomorrow.

Thanks for looking...
