Last hunt..last chance. Figured the high tides did a number on some cuts I've had my eyes on. First target .. clad quarter 1965. Next a clad dime and then just the sweet gold color. Didn't have to even see the karat mark, I knew this was gold! Turns out to be 2.6 grams at 14K with a nice red stone, probably a garnet.
With my Dual Field down about 5" deep about a foot from the cut. The cut was about three feet high. This was a short half hour hunt at mid day figuring I'd do the low tide later. Well later never came..still a nice low tide tomorrow..1 January 2014.
