Havent been doing much hunting with all the renos that is getting done in my home.
Did a few hours of hunting with my hunting partner. He doesnt read or post on any forums(just yet),but does love the hobby with a passion. We hit a new spot that he was eyeing and had obtain permission to hunt on the lawn.I dug 2 silver dimes and 1 silver 25 cent plus the spoon.
The dimes are from from the mid 40's and 1 from the mid 50's
This was a surface find,it will blend it well with my collection of religious medallion. It commemorates the year the pope visited our province. Its not a coin but a trinket sold as a souvenir. BTW my friend also found one!
I hit this keeper and it made my day. She's worn out a tab but the date is readable
As I called over my friend he tells me that he never dug a silver 25 cents yet.Its his 2nd year in the hobby but did get a few great relics and older LC's.
At first I though this spoon was silver but as I took it out of the old I saw the flaking.
My buddy dug some silver also with a very nice 1939 commemarative Canadian token, with a hand full of pennies. We the moved on to one of my other sites. This is only the 2nd time i hunt with this fella, and he will make a really good hunting partner!Told him just hunt on this gravel packed road and he will find coins.HE had this look of disbelief, hehe and watch me dig a silver 25 cents, then another. He quickly joined in and wham he digs his FIRST silver quarter!!I really wish he would of dug that 1910 quarter instead of me. I was happy for him as he had his first. He was grinning ear to ear.He quickly dug some more silver and pennies from the 40's.This guy I will definetaly bring on a relic hunt as his slowly getting to like to dig relics instead of clad.
Thanks for looking!! HH
