Last Friday finds, I believe from the 1850?s.

This was the best I could do on the photos.

A brass number ?5? (bottom part)
A ?Hardy Hat? Eagle pin
The top decoration of a ?Ringold Artillery Hat?
Some item that looks to be a suspender cover

14 buttons.
Eagle over US
Officer button
2 small 'A' buttons
3 ?I? buttons
2 shield buttons
A few small plain buttons

I also found several round balls and a penny dated 1857 (no photo).

Three pipes found by poking and sifting the dirt. One pipe has the name ?Henry Clay? on the base.

A lot of fun to find and show to all.

WOW!!! Them are some great old finds...
As I was reading your post, I thought, what purpose would a guy have by putting his name on a pipe...
I though you were talking about water, or gas pipes until I scrolled down to the pic... ::)

The Henry Clay pipe is fantastic.

CLAY, Henry, (father of James Brown Clay), a Senator and a Representative from Kentucky; born in the district known as ?the Slashes,? Hanover County, Va., April 12, 1777; attended the public schools; studied law in Richmond, Va.; admitted to the bar in 1797 and commenced practice in Lexington, Ky.; member, State house of representatives 1803; elected as a Democratic Republican to the United States Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of John Adair and served from November 19, 1806, to March 3, 1807,
