That are some fine finds.

Nice finds, Jdiggs!

Im a pure coinshooter myself - mind sharing your program you used to sniff out these beauties? The ground is almost thawed here, and I plan to use the HF elliptical I just got for the first month I can detect.

Yeah no problem... nothing really special as far as the program... just seems to work for me...

14khz
Full tones
Disc -2.5
Sens 90-96 depends on how chatty it is
Reactivity 2-3 depends on iron and trash.
Silencer -1
Audio response 4
No notch
Iron volume 0
Pumping/manual ground balance
Horseshoe screen

Tx power 2 can't be changed with using the hf coils.

If there's alot of iron I will sometines drop the sensitivity from 86-88..

Also run calabashes pitch program as well as Gary's sifter and ultimate program which is a deep program from what I can see...

man you are killing it! awesome job again! loving mine as well. I just keep floating back and forth with the frequencies as I try to learn mine.

Thanks dirtlooter... appreciate it brother.. you have been doing well to... just nice to get out and swing the deus... although I have been swinging my equinox as well... but that's for another forum..lol..

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14:

That 9” HF Coil is smacking it for you. Nice finds, congrats and thanks for taking the time to post some pics.

Super day. Another reason to say "Yes Haw"

Congrats nice Finds!! My buddy has been using the same coil. He loves the HF coil, works great.

Great assortment of finds, thanks for the post up on the settings.

Never could figure the horseshoe out, didn't matter what I walked over it seems ??? on what it meant. The XY has given me an easier ref. to what's there, and it lies also it seems.:laughing7:
I am still rely on sound over screen for digging.

Yes I would say that the coil is doing a great job. Congrats!

Great finds, jdiggs. I am especially taken by that button with the flower pattern. Buttons with flower patterns are typically older style buttons. I would see if you could get someone to determine its approximate age. Are there any back marks? Do you know what metal it is made of?

The horseshoe screen is kind of weird. It only works well if you have some discrimination cut in (typically between 6 and 10). It is designed to tell you if you are passing the coil over a target that has ferrous content or ferrous and non-ferrous content, even if you are not getting a TID number. A purely ferrous target will make the left side of the horseshoe turn dark. Similarly, a non-ferrous target will make the right side turn dark. The more of the horseshoe filled in (on the right side) gives you an approximate/relative measure of depth (but mostly just signal strength). More dark, shallower or biigger target. The dot with the cross-hairs at the bottom of the horseshoe is the overload indicator if you pass the coil over a shallow and/or large object that saturates the detector (e.g., shallow beer can). I like the horseshoe display, not so much for the horse shoe but because the TID numbers are bigger than the X-Y display and you can also see measured ground phase and measured mineralization in real time as well as the set GB number to see if there is a significant mismatch. The X-Y display was interesting but as I got used to the Deus audio, I could hear the audio nuances (e.g., distorted audio) that were mimicked by the X-Y display distorted lines so the info was redundant to me. Plus I couldn't stand squinting at the TID numbers up in the corner...old guy problem lol. HTH
